Since writing my first book in 2003, I have found great satisfaction from researching a subject, and then trying to tell the story of that subject in as compelling a way as possible. Topics so far include everything from contemporary round-the-world races (which taught me to love Open 60s) to a history of classic yachts and (my favourite so far) a biography of the famously reclusive boat designer Iain Oughtred. And I've got plenty more irons in the fire, so look out for new titles coming up soon!
